Notes on converting CSV to a table

The input source text and the table being edited

Entering source text alone does not change the table. Import it with “Apply to table”; subsequent cell edits are reflected in the Markdown result.

Import as text rather than formatting

Bold markers and similar notation in CSV are treated as text. This feature does not reproduce spreadsheet colors, borders, or merged cells.

Frequently asked questions

Can I also import a CSV file?

Yes. Selecting a .csv file loads its contents and replaces the entire current table. If characters appear garbled, check the encoding of the original file.

What is the table displayed at the start?

It is a sample showing example input. Importing CSV replaces it. You can also edit the sample directly and use it.

How large a table can I work with?

The limits are 100 rows, 20 columns, and 1,000 cells in total. Each cell can contain up to 500 characters, and the entire table up to 50,000 characters. Input that exceeds a limit is not applied, and the previous table is retained.
