Lottie viewer and inspector
Open Lottie JSON, .lottie, or ZIP to inspect motion and assets before integration. Match the required images and fonts, and check the animation with different playback positions, speeds, and backgrounds. The original files are not changed, and no new files are created or saved.
What you can do
Open a file & play
Select an animation in JSON, .lottie or ZIP and inspect it by playing, pausing or moving the playback position.
Match the required assets
Add assets from your device if images, fonts or other assets are missing. You can also choose which file to use when there are multiple candidates.
Check with different backgrounds or speeds
Switch between transparent, white or dark backgrounds, and change playback speed, looping or display size. Original files are not changed.
How to use
Add animations and assets
Select Lottie JSON, .lottie, or ZIP. If it references external assets, also add the corresponding folder or asset files.
Select the animation to inspect
If there are multiple animations, select the one to inspect. If missing assets or duplicate candidates are reported, specify the corresponding files.
Check motion and appearance
Use play, pause, and seek controls. If needed, change the background or speed in “Playback settings” to inspect the animation.
Useful for
Check that delivered data works
Open an animation you received and check its motion and whether all required images are present.
Check appearance before integration
Try light and dark backgrounds and different playback speeds to assess whether it suits the screen where you will use it.
The relationship between animations and assets
JSON, .lottie, and ZIP
Lottie JSON contains animation and shape data. .lottie and ZIP files may bundle animations and assets together.
Referenced assets are also needed for display
If images, fonts, or other assets are separate files, check their names and folder locations. Resolve missing assets and duplicates before playback.
Playback settings are for inspection
Changes to speed, looping, background, and display size affect only the preview. This feature does not edit and save the original animation data.
Also check in the environment where you will use it
Themes, interactive states, and player-specific features may differ from basic animation display. Being able to play an animation here does not guarantee the same appearance in every app.
Frequently asked questions
What if images are not displayed?
Check for missing or unsupported content under “Referenced assets”. Add images from your device, and choose the file to use if there are multiple candidates. Adding folders with their structure preserved makes it easier to check the matches.
Can I play ordinary JSON or just images?
You need animation data in the Lottie format. Adding general JSON or only images will not let you play them as animations.
Can I save a file with a changed playback speed?
This tool is for inspection. It does not write playback speed or other settings back to the original data or save them as a new file.
How can I see areas outside the frame at original size?
Select “Original size” in playback settings to scroll within the display area and inspect it. Switch back to “Fit to frame” to show the whole animation.
Are multiple animations joined in order?
No. Choose an animation to inspect and play them one at a time. Switching animations resets the selected animation's playback settings to their defaults.
What if fonts or special features cannot be displayed?
Check the corresponding font files. Depending on the export structure, adding assets may still not allow the content to display. Also check the display in the app where you will use it, including themes and interactive states.
