You can usually leave all options on. Assets with their options turned off become separate files and are saved in a ZIP with the HTML.

Scale changes the page size in HTML, while resolution changes the detail of page images.

Enter a password only if one is required to open the PDF.

What you can do

Open a PDF as HTML

Convert the page's appearance to HTML and check text, links and layout in a browser.

Save HTML and assets together

By default, everything is combined in 1 HTML file. If images, CSS or other assets are separated, you can save the required files in a ZIP.

How to use

  1. Add a PDF

Choose the PDF to convert to HTML.

  2. Change advanced settings if needed

Usually, you can use the settings as they are. Open advanced settings only to separate assets or change display scale or resolution.

  3. Convert to HTML

Press the convert button and wait for processing to finish.

  4. Check the display and save

Check text, links and layout, then save. For a ZIP, extract the complete set and preserve the relative file locations when using it.

Useful when

Hand over PDF documents as HTML

Convert documents to a format that opens in a browser so others can review their contents.

Prepare assets for web publication

Extract the HTML and required assets, check their display, and then use them on the destination site.

What to check before handing over HTML

A single HTML file and a ZIP with assets

If everything is included in the HTML, you can hand it over as 1 file. If images, CSS or other assets are separated, the complete set of files in the ZIP is needed for display.

Check the appearance and text after conversion

Check columns, tables, fonts and other details in the converted display. Parts of the PDF without selectable text may also not be selectable as text in the HTML.

Saving and web publication are separate operations

Saving HTML alone does not automatically publish it on the web. To post it, publish it separately through the site you will use.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be displayed if I hand over only the HTML file?

If all embedding options in advanced settings are on, the result is saved as 1 HTML file. If any assets are separate files, hand over the complete set in the ZIP with the same structure preserved.

Is it automatically published on the web when saved?

It is not published automatically. This tool saves HTML and assets. Search registration and website publication are separate tasks.
