Create and design QR codes
Turn informational text or a URL into a QR code. Adjust the colors, shapes, and logo, check the content and appearance, and save a PNG image.
What you can do
Turn text into a QR code
Turn entered instructions or a URL into a QR code. You can check the encoded contents beside the generated image.
Adjust colors, shapes, and logos
Choose a shape preset, colors, a transparent background, and a central logo. When adjusting them, also check their effect on scanning.
Save as a PNG image
Save the generated QR code as PNG. Choose the image size for printing or inclusion in documents.
How to use
Enter contents
Enter or paste the short text or URL you want to encode as a QR code.
Generate QR code
First generate with the default settings and check the contents encoded in the QR code.
Adjust the design if needed
Changing colors, shapes, logos, and other options in advanced settings updates the preview with the same contents.
Save PNG and check scanning
Choose an image size and save it. At the size and on the background where you will publish it, check that a smartphone camera can read the contents.
Useful when
Turn instructions into a short code
Encode a reception location or short explanation as a QR code and include it on signs or handouts.
Add to flyers or business cards
Prepare an image of the destination URL and adjust it to match the colors or logo of the printed material.
Appearance and ease of scanning
Input contents and design are separate
Changing colors or shapes does not change the contents of an already generated QR code. If you edit the text, generate it again.
Light–dark contrast and outer margins
Use a dark pattern and light background as the basic approach. Normally leave the outer margin at 4, and do not crop it when placing the image.
Check transparent backgrounds where you publish
The checkerboard on screen is for checking transparent areas and is not included in the PNG. Ease of scanning varies with the actual background.
Logos and error correction
Codes with a logo use error correction H; those without a logo use M. An oversized logo obscures the pattern, so these settings alone do not guarantee scanning.
Image pixel dimensions and print size
There are 5 image-size options from 256 to 2048px. Ease of scanning varies with printed size, distance, and the amount of content, so check it under the actual publication conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the QR code's colors or shapes?
Adjust colors, shapes, a transparent background, a central logo, and margins in advanced settings. If a warning appears, review the settings and scan the code to check it.
Which image formats can I save?
You can save as PNG. Choose an image size of 256, 320, 640, 1024, or 2048px. Saving as SVG, JPEG, PDF, or other formats is not available.
Does changing the preset also remove the logo or colors?
Presets change the shapes of the pattern and corner markers. Colors, logos, and margins are retained. To restore all design settings, use “Reset design” in advanced settings.
What logo images can I use?
Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image no larger than 2MB. It is fitted in the center while preserving its aspect ratio.
Is there a character limit?
The amount you can include varies with the characters, contents, and error correction. If generation fails, try shortening the contents.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes. You can choose a transparent background in advanced settings. If the background where you place it is similar in color to the pattern, the code may not scan, so check it on the actual background.
Does the previous image remain when I change the input?
Editing the text removes the previous QR image. Generate it with the new contents. The overall “Reset” restores the text and design settings to their initial state.
