What you can do

Create a QR code containing connection information

Enter the network name, encryption method, and required password to create a QR code that opens connection instructions on a smartphone.

Match the network's encryption method

Choose WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, or no password. There is also a setting for networks with a hidden name.

Give visitors instructions with a PNG

Save the generated QR code as a PNG image. Use it to provide information to visitors, such as on shop signs or reception instructions.

How to use

  1. Enter Wi-Fi information

Specify the destination network name and encryption method, and enter the required password. Enter capitalization and spaces accurately.

  2. Generate QR code

For a hidden network, open advanced settings and specify it, then press “Generate Wi-Fi QR code.”

  3. Save and check the destination network

Save the PNG image and scan it with a smartphone at the size you will use for the instructions. Check the displayed network name and connection instructions.

Useful when

Provide Wi-Fi information to shop visitors

Use a QR image at a shop to provide connection information instead of having visitors manually enter a long network name or password.

Share guest access at reception or in meeting rooms

Include a QR code for a guest network on reception cards or meeting-room materials.

Checking the Wi-Fi name and connection information

The SSID is the network name

The network name shown in places such as your device's Wi-Fi list. Spaces and capitalization you enter are included in the QR code exactly as entered.

Use the destination network's encryption method

Select the method specified by the router or administrator. WPA/WPA2/WPA3 and WEP require a password; with “No password,” no password is included in the QR code.

Generation and successful connection are separate

This tool creates an image containing connection information. It does not verify that the actual network or password is correct, or that a device can connect, so try scanning it before distributing it.

Frequently asked questions
