Pomodoro timer
A Pomodoro timer that switches between work and rest with the focus duration, short breaks and long breaks you set. You can pause, resume and skip intervals, review your study or work history, copy the focus and break history as a table or CSV, and save it as a CSV file.
Features
Move through focus and breaks in sequence
Set the durations for focus, short breaks, and long breaks. Defaults are 25, 5, and 15 minutes. After 4 completed focus periods, the timer moves to a long break.
Resume from the remaining time after an interruption
Pausing preserves the remaining time. To end the current period and move on, skip it; skipped periods are recorded separately from completed ones.
Record and save session periods
Check the number of completed focus periods and total focus and break time. Copy recorded periods as a table or CSV, or save them as a CSV file.
How to use
Check the time and start
Check the displayed period and time, then press “Start”. To change the time, open the timer settings and press “Apply settings” after entering your values.
Pause and resume as needed
Press “Pause” to stop partway through, or “Resume” to continue. “Skip this period” moves to the next period.
Move to the next period
By default, the timer waits for you to start the next period when a period ends. With auto-start ON, the next period starts after completion is detected.
Check and save the history
Check completed and skipped periods in the history. Save any records you need before closing, reloading, or resetting the page.
Useful for
Divide document preparation or study into timed sessions
Use this when you want to set time for a single task and breaks, then work while watching the remaining time.
Review completed focus and break periods
Use this to distinguish completed focus periods from skipped periods and keep records after your work.
Reading periods, totals, and history
The difference between pause and skip
Pause preserves the current remaining time. Skip ends the current period and waits for the next period to be started. Skipped periods are not included in completed counts or time totals. Even with auto-start ON, the timer waits immediately after a skip.
Applied settings and settings being edited
Changes to durations or auto-start do not affect the current timer until you press “Apply settings”. Applying them prepares a new cycle from the start of a focus period and keeps the previous history and totals. Completion sound ON/OFF changes take effect immediately.
History minutes and the scope of totals
Minutes in the history are the duration configured for that period. They do not represent actual work time in a period skipped partway through. History keeps up to the latest 200 records, while focus counts and time totals retain all completed periods, including those no longer in the history.
Records while this page is open
Closing or reloading the page returns the timer and records to their initial state. Screen updates and sound may be delayed; when the page is shown again, the remaining time is corrected using elapsed time. Auto-start begins the next period when completion is detected.
Frequently asked questions
Can I resume after stopping partway through a session?
Yes. “Pause” preserves the remaining time, and “Resume” continues from there. Skipping and resetting are separate actions. The timer cannot be carried over after closing or reloading the page.
Does the timer continue even when no sound plays?
Yes. Period changes and history recording continue even when the completion sound is OFF or audio is unavailable. Check the current period and completion indicator on the screen.
When can I change the time settings?
Change settings before starting or while paused, then press “Apply settings”. Applying them returns to the start of a focus period but retains the previous history and totals. The completion sound can also be toggled while timing.
Does resetting also restore the default time settings?
Reset returns the timer to the focus duration in the current settings and clears the history and totals. It retains the configured durations, auto-start, and completion sound ON/OFF settings. This differs from reloading the page.
Why are times on the screen different from CSV times?
The screen uses your device's local time. Times in table/CSV copies and CSV files are UTC date-times, and the column names also indicate UTC. The same record therefore has a different time representation.
