Time zone converter
Convert a date and time from one region to 1–8 other regions. Check local dates and time differences for overseas deadlines or events, then copy the results or save two or more regions as a text file.
What you can do
Convert one date and time to other regions
Choose a source region and date and time, then compare local times in 1–8 target regions.
Check date changes and time differences
See each region’s date, UTC offset and difference from the source region. Check events that cross local date boundaries.
Obtain the results together
Copy the displayed local times together. Save two or more regions as a text file.
How to use
Specify the source region, date and time
Choose the region whose local time the event uses, then enter its date and time. “Use the current time” fills in the source region’s current date and time.
Choose target regions
Add the regions to check and remove any you do not need. Choose 1–8 target regions.
Convert time zones
Select “Convert time zones”. If the local time occurs twice, choose its first or second occurrence in advanced settings, then convert again.
Review and obtain local times
Check each region’s date and time and its difference from the source region. Copy the results or save two or more regions as text.
When it helps
Check an overseas deadline in your own time zone
Specify the deadline’s source region, date and time to find when it falls in your region.
Share an event time across offices
Convert one agreed event time to each office’s local date and time before sharing it.
Reading dates and time differences
Check the source region first
The same date and 09:00 can refer to different moments in different regions. Choose the region used in the event notice, then enter the date and time together.
UTC offset and source-region difference
UTC provides a common reference for comparing regions. Results show UTC offsets separately from differences from the source region. Offsets of 30 or 45 minutes are preserved.
Daylight-saving changes
Time differences depend on the chosen date as well as the region. A local time skipped when clocks move forward is rejected. For a repeated time when clocks move back, choose the first or second occurrence.
Specified-time conversion and live clocks
“Use the current time” fills in the input. Results show the moment you converted and do not update every second. Convert again after changing settings.
Future rule changes and device data
Calculations use the browser’s time-zone rules. Recent changes and future dates depend on the device’s data updates, so check the local notice that defines your event time.
Frequently asked questions
Can the source region also be a target?
Yes. Its difference from the source is zero hours. The same target region cannot be added twice.
Are local date changes displayed?
Yes. Each region’s date is shown alongside its time. Check the date as well as the time before sharing a result.
What should I do when a local time occurs twice?
Normally, leave confirmation enabled. Converting a repeated time opens advanced settings. Choose the first or second occurrence and convert again.
Does using the current time make results update automatically?
No. It only fills in the source region’s current date and time. Select “Convert time zones” to obtain results, which remain fixed until you convert again.
Why is saving as text unavailable?
One target region offers copying only. Two or more regions can be saved together as world-times.txt.
