Random Order with Fewer Repeats
Shuffles the list so consecutive shuffles are less likely to keep the same head, the same neighbors and a nearly identical order.
What this order tool does
Considers the previous order
Candidate shuffles that keep the same head, the same positions or the same neighbor pairs weigh less than fresh ones.
Same members handling as the standard tool
One name per line, and every member still appears exactly once.
Orders stay readable
The committed order remains a numbered list, so you can compare consecutive shuffles.
How to use
List participants one per line
Type the names one per line. When the membership changes, observations start over from the new list.
Shuffle
The primary button decides the full order. Shuffle again and the previous order is weighed in.
Watch the repeats fade
Repeated shuffles show how the same head and the same neighbors become less common.
When this helps
Presentations and practice rotations
Class drills and joint practice where the same person keeps landing first.
Games where the same adjacency hurts
Board games and events where the same two should not sit next to each other every time.
How it differs from a plain shuffle
"No duplicates" is already satisfied
A plain shuffle already includes everyone once. This page's value is what happens over repeated shuffles: the same head, neighbors and overall shape fade.
Not a reversal generator
It only picks candidates further from the previous order. It never intentionally produces reversed or stepped patterns.
FAQ
Can every position be different from last time?
No. Some overlap is normal; only the same-position repeats and the same head become less common.
Does the first person always change?
Not guaranteed. Shuffles keeping the head are avoided, but a random candidate may still land first.
Is each shuffle independent?
No. The previous order is considered. For independent shuffles, use the standard tool.
