Random order picker

Enter participants or items, 1 per line, to reorder all of them randomly. Decide the presentation order, duty rotation, or task sequence, review the numbered list, and share it by copying or saving it as text.

Edit candidates0 items
0 lines

Identical lines are retained as separate items. Blank lines and leading or trailing spaces on each line are removed.

What you can do

Set an order for everyone at once

Randomly reorder the entire list, including each input row exactly once. This differs from a draw that selects only some winners.

Keep rows with identical names

Even if several rows contain identical content, they are included in the order as separate items. Add a group name or similar identifier if you want to distinguish people.

Copy or save with numbering

Check the order starting from number 1, then copy it as a table or CSV with order and item in separate columns. You can also choose text for messages or save as .txt.

How to use

  1. Enter one candidate per line

Paste participants or items. Blank lines and leading and trailing spaces in each line are removed.

  2. Set order

The “Set order” button rearranges all input items.

  3. Share the set order

Choose table, CSV, or text from “Copy” to get the set order. Running again creates a new order.

Useful when

Set a presentation order

Use it to prepare a presentation or demonstration order in which every participant appears once.

Set the order of tasks or game turns

Randomly choose which items to do first or the participation order from the input list.

Reordering all items versus drawing some

Random order uses each input row exactly once

Rows with identical names are also kept. There is no operation to automatically combine duplicate inputs.

Use a draw to select only some items

If you do not need an order for everyone, use Draws & random selection to specify the number to select.

Frequently asked questions

How many items can I enter?

1–1,000 items excluding blank lines, with up to 100 characters per item. The total input limit is 102,000 characters.

Can I redo the result?

You can press “Set order” again with the same input. The result is replaced with a new order.
