Audio format converter

Add audio or video files and convert them to an audio format suited to your playback device or submission requirements. Choose the format and quality in common settings, then change the format or bitrate for individual files as needed. Preview results and save them individually; two or more successfully converted audio files can also be saved as a ZIP. M4R supports up to 40 seconds, while AMR uses fixed output settings.

Audio format, quality and size

Changing formats does not restore original audio quality

Changing format or increasing bitrate alone cannot restore sound already lost through compression. Recompress only as much as needed.

Bitrate affects audio quality and file size

Higher values use more data. This setting is not used for WAV or FLAC, and AMR is saved with fixed settings.

Sample rate and channels are common settings

Use Same as original when no change is needed. Only format and bitrate can be overridden per file; other settings remain common.

Frequently asked questions

Does changing formats improve audio quality?

Conversion alone cannot restore sounds absent from the original audio. Choose a format suited to the destination; if no quality is specified, start by checking the default setting.

Can I convert multiple audio files together?

Yes. Add and convert multiple files. Save successfully converted audio individually, or save two or more files together as a ZIP. Successful results are retained even if some files fail.
