About semitones and playback speed

Semitones and octaves

A value of 1 means a semitone, and 12 means 1 octave. Positive values raise the pitch; negative values lower it. 0 restores the original pitch.

Pitch and speed are separate settings

Pitch shifting adjusts the pitch of voices or songs. To change how fast you listen, use “Change audio speed”.

Listen when making large changes

The sound varies depending on the source and the amount of change. Compare the original and changed audio to check the result.
