Convert OGG to MP3
When you want to use audio on a playback device or with a recipient that cannot open OGG, choose 1 OGG file on your device and convert the entire audio to MP3. The maximum is 500 MB, and the default is 192 kbps. After conversion, play the audio, check its duration and file size, and save it. The original OGG is not overwritten; the result is saved as a separate file.
What you can do
Create an MP3 copy
Convert the entire selected audio to MP3. Save it as a new file without overwriting the original.
Check and save the audio
Play the converted audio. Check its duration and file size before saving the file.
How to use
Choose an OGG file
Select one file on your device, up to 500 MB.
Adjust settings only if needed
You can usually convert with the defaults. If there are multiple audio tracks, choose the one to keep.
Convert and save the audio
Convert to MP3, play the result to check it, then save.
When this is useful
Match audio clips to the required format
Convert audio received as OGG for an editor or submission destination that accepts MP3.
What to check before conversion
This differs from changing the file extension
Changing only the end of the filename does not change the audio format. Save the MP3 created by conversion.
Adjust quality and file size as needed
Choose 128, 192, or 320 kbps. The default is 192 kbps. When reducing file size, also check how the sound changes.
