Picture cropping, aspect ratio and output dimensions

This differs from shortening the duration

Cropping removes the surroundings of the picture. Use Trim video to shorten its duration by changing the start or end time.

Choosing an aspect ratio does not automatically move the contents

The aspect ratio determines the frame's shape. Check the frame position and size to avoid cutting off faces or text.

The selected frame's width and height become the output dimensions

Pixels inside the frame are retained without stretching the original footage. Width and height are adjusted in 2px increments to suit the save format.
