What you can do

Specify a multiplier for fast or slow motion

Specify the speed with a slider or a number. 1× is the original speed; a smaller value slows it down and a larger value speeds it up.

Check the range to use and finished duration

Choose the entire video or only the range you need. Check the finished duration based on the range length and speed multiplier.

Choose to keep audio or mute

Choose whether to keep the audio and change its speed along with the picture, or save a video with the sound muted.

How to use

  1. Choose a video and range to use

Use the entire video, or specify a start and end to select the scene you need.

  2. Decide the multiplier and whether to include audio

Specify the speed and check the finished duration. Choose mute if you do not need sound.

  3. Check the changes and save

Check speed and audio in the preview, then save a video with the speed change applied.

Useful when

Save as fast-motion footage

Save lengthy movements or work scenes as a faster video.

Show a scene in slow motion

Select a range you want to show slowly and create a slow-motion video.

Speed multiplier, finished duration and audio

Finished duration is range length ÷ multiplier

12 seconds becomes 6 seconds at 2× and 24 seconds at 0.5×. Changing the range to use also changes the finished duration.

Save the selected range with its speed changed

The start and end times refer to the original video. This differs from editing that automatically retains the parts before and after the selected range in the same video.

Audio speed also changes to match the picture

If you keep the audio, its speed changes to match the picture while preserving pitch. Choose mute if you do not need it. Use Change video volume to amplify the volume.

Frequently asked questions

Can I select part of a video and change its speed?

Yes. Specify a range to use and save a video with the speed of that range changed.

Can I save a video with its speed changed as a file?

Yes. A video file with the specified speed multiplier applied is created, rather than only changing the player's playback speed setting.
