Video stabilization
Analyzes shaky video, such as handheld footage, and reduces shaking between frames. You can stabilize a selected range, compare the original and stabilized footage, check the edges and the area that will be cropped, and save the video.
What you can do
Stabilize the whole video or the range you need
Select a shaky video, such as handheld footage, and stabilize the entire video or a specified time range.
Compare before and after stabilization
Switch between the original and stabilized footage, check how the shake and frame edges look, then save.
How to use
Select video
Check the original video. To use only part of it, open “Range to use” and specify the start and end.
Run video stabilization
Wait for analysis and stabilization to finish. The original video and settings remain even if you cancel processing.
Check the result and save
Compare the footage and frame edges before and after stabilization, then save the stabilized video.
When to use it
Reduce shake in handheld footage
Adjust the shake in handheld footage and compare it with the original.
Make introduction and travel videos easier to watch
Select the scene you want to keep, check the shake and frame area, and create a video.
How stabilization works and frame edges
Analyzes shake between frames
Stabilization is based on motion across consecutive frames. Unlike removing blur from a still image, its effect varies with the original footage.
The frame edges may be cropped slightly
Edge processing and cropping are applied to reduce missing areas at the frame edges caused by stabilization. Check the stabilized footage to make sure any subject you want to keep has not been cut off.
Frequently asked questions
Can I select and stabilize only part of a video?
Yes. Open “Range to use” and specify the start and end to save a video with that range stabilized.
Can the frame edges change after stabilization?
Yes. Edge processing may change the visible area. Switch between the before and after views and check all the way to the edges before saving.
