AVIF to JPG

Convert AVIF images to JPG for insertion into documents or photo sharing. Add multiple files, adjust dimensions, quality or background color if needed, check the result and file size, then save files individually or as a ZIP. What you can do

Use AVIF in JPG-compatible apps

Save AVIF images as JPEG for insertion into documents or photo sharing.

Check the background color & result

By default, transparent areas are filled with white. Change the background color or dimensions in advanced settings if needed.

How to use

  1. Add images

Select AVIF files or add them from a folder.

  2. Check output settings

JPEG is already selected. Open advanced settings only if needed to change dimensions or background color.

  3. Convert & save

Check the converted images, dimensions and file sizes, then save them individually. You can also get results for multiple files as a ZIP.

When this is useful

Insert images into documents

Insert JPG images into document software that cannot read AVIF.

Share photos

Send JPG files to match the formats supported by the recipient's app.

What to check before converting

Conversion does not add detail to the original

Converting to JPG cannot restore information lost through AVIF compression. Check the result.

Transparency & file size changes

JPG cannot contain transparent areas; they are filled with a background color. The converted file may also be larger than the original AVIF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep a transparent background?

Not in JPG. To keep transparency, choose a format that supports it, such as PNG.

Will the file be smaller than the AVIF?

Not necessarily. Changing format compatibility and fitting a file size limit are separate tasks.

Which image is saved?

The default for this purpose saves the first frame as a still image. It does not extract an intermediate frame or a numbered sequence.
