HEIC to JPG
Convert HEIC and HEIF photos from an iPhone or other device to images for JPG-compatible apps or submission destinations. Select photos or add them from a folder, adjust dimensions, quality or background color if needed, check the result and file size, then save them. The defaults are original dimensions and the first frame as a still image; you can also bundle multiple results into a ZIP.
What you can do
HEIC & HEIF photos to JPG
JPEG is already selected as the output format when you add an image. Prepare photos to send to apps that do not support the original format.
Convert multiple photos at their original dimensions
Images are converted at their original dimensions unless you specify dimensions. Add multiple images to save them together if needed.
How to use
Add images
Select HEIC or HEIF files, or add them from a folder.
Check output settings
JPEG is already selected. Open advanced settings only if needed to change dimensions or background color.
Convert & save
Check the converted images, dimensions and file sizes, then save them individually. You can also get results for multiple files as a ZIP.
When this is useful
Attach photos to a submission form
Submit JPG images to forms that do not accept HEIC.
Send photos to another app
Use iPhone photos in document or image editing apps that support JPG.
What to check before converting
HEIC & JPG are different image formats
Changing the filename extension alone does not convert a file. It is loaded as an image and exported as JPG.
Check compatibility & file size separately
Conversion to JPG may increase file size. If the submission destination has a limit, also check the resulting file size before saving.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert HEIF files too?
Yes. HEIC and HEIF inputs are supported. If a file cannot be loaded, check the cause and select it again after, for example, re-exporting the original photo.
Will the photo dimensions be reduced?
No width or height is specified by default, so original dimensions are used. You can change them in advanced settings.
Will the original photo remain?
Download the converted JPG without overwriting the original file.
