Reduce image to 100KB or less

Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image to prepare an image for an entry or application form requiring 100KB or less. The default file size limit is 100KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change the format or maximum dimensions as needed, compare the images before and after processing and their actual file sizes, and save a result within the limit. 1KB is treated as 1,000B.

You can leave these fields blank. The image fits within the specified bounds while keeping its aspect ratio, without being enlarged. It may be reduced further to meet the file size limit.

In JPEG, transparent areas are filled with this color.

What you can do

100KB set by default

Select an image and adjust it toward 100KB or less. You can change the limit to match submission requirements.

Check file size and appearance together

Compare the actual byte count, dimensions, and images before and after processing, then save a result within the limit.

How to use

  1. Select an image

Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image.

  2. Check and adjust settings

The default file size limit is 100KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change them only if needed, then run the tool.

  3. Check the result and save

Check the actual file size and image. Confirm that text and details are readable and that the dimensions and format also meet the submission requirements, then save.

Useful when

Attach to an entry form

Prepare a photo while checking its file size and appearance when the recipient requires 100KB or less.

Check readability before saving

For images containing text or fine details, enlarge the processed image and confirm that they are readable.

What to check even after meeting the file size limit

Check file size, dimensions, and format separately

Even if the image meets the 100KB limit, it cannot be submitted if it fails other requirements, such as dimensions or a required JPEG format. Also check the dimensions and save format shown in the results.

Limits are checked against the actual byte count

This tool treats 1KB as 1,000B. 100KB is 100,000B. Whether the limit is met is not determined solely by the rounded KB display.

Formats and transparent areas

JPEG fills transparent areas with the background color. PNG and WebP preserve transparency. Choose the format required by the submission destination.

Frequently asked questions

Will the result always be exactly 100KB?

The tool aims for the specified limit or below. The result will not be exactly that size, and image quality or dimensions may change to fit the limit.

Why can’t I submit an image of 100KB or less?

Check requirements other than file size, such as the image format, dimensions, and content specified by the recipient. Meeting the file size limit alone does not guarantee that the image can be submitted.

What if the image does not fit the target file size?

Increase the file size limit or change the save format and try again. Files that do not meet the limit are never saved as successful results.
