Reduce image to 200KB or less

Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image to prepare an image for an internal system or document attachment requiring 200KB or less. The default file size limit is 200KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change the format or maximum dimensions as needed, compare the images before and after processing and their actual file sizes, and save a result within the limit. 1KB is treated as 1,000B.

Add files

You can also drop a file to add it

You can leave these fields blank. The image fits within the specified bounds while keeping its aspect ratio, without being enlarged. It may be reduced further to meet the file size limit.

In JPEG, transparent areas are filled with this color.

What you can do

200KB set by default

Select an image and adjust it toward 200KB or less. You can change the limit to match submission requirements.

Check file size and appearance together

Compare the actual byte count, dimensions, and images before and after processing, then save a result within the limit.

How to use

  1. Select an image

Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image.

  2. Check and adjust settings

The default file size limit is 200KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change them only if needed, then run the tool.

  3. Check the result and save

Check the actual file size and image. Confirm that text and details are readable and that the dimensions and format also meet the submission requirements, then save.

Useful when

Register an image in an internal system

Save and register an image that fits a field requiring a file of 200KB or less.

Attach an image to a document

Compare before and after reducing the file size to check that text or graphics have not lost their detail.

What to check even after meeting the file size limit

When processing an image that is already small

Even if the image is already 200KB or less, format changes or other processing may increase its file size. Compare the before-and-after values and decide whether saving a new version is necessary.

Limits are checked against the actual byte count

This tool treats 1KB as 1,000B. 200KB is 200,000B. Whether the limit is met is not determined solely by the rounded KB display.

Formats and transparent areas

JPEG fills transparent areas with the background color. PNG and WebP preserve transparency. Choose the format required by the submission destination.

Frequently asked questions

Will the result always be exactly 200KB?

The tool aims for the specified limit or below. The result will not be exactly that size, and image quality or dimensions may change to fit the limit.

Can I use an image that is already 200KB or less?

Yes. The image is processed again, including any format changes, so it may not become smaller than the original. If the original already meets the submission requirements, you can also use it as it is.

What if the image does not fit the target file size?

Increase the file size limit or change the save format and try again. Files that do not meet the limit are never saved as successful results.
