Reduce image to 50KB or less
Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image to prepare an image for a profile or application form requiring 50KB or less. The default file size limit is 50KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change the format or maximum dimensions as needed, compare the images before and after processing and their actual file sizes, and save a result within the limit. 1KB is treated as 1,000B.
What you can do
50KB set by default
Select an image and adjust it toward 50KB or less. You can change the limit to match submission requirements.
Check file size and appearance together
Compare the actual byte count, dimensions, and images before and after processing, then save a result within the limit.
How to use
Select an image
Select 1 JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image.
Check and adjust settings
The default file size limit is 50KB and the default save format is JPEG. Change them only if needed, then run the tool.
Check the result and save
Check the actual file size and image. Confirm that text and details are readable and that the dimensions and format also meet the submission requirements, then save.
Useful when
Submit a profile image
Adjust the image while checking the face and outlines when 50KB or less is required.
Fit a small attachment limit
Process images one at a time to prepare files for forms with strict attachment limits.
What to check even after meeting the file size limit
Enlarge the image to check text and details
Fitting an image within the small 50KB limit may reduce image quality or dimensions. Enlarge the processed image and check whether the parts you need can be distinguished.
Limits are checked against the actual byte count
This tool treats 1KB as 1,000B. 50KB is 50,000B. Whether the limit is met is not determined solely by the rounded KB display.
Formats and transparent areas
JPEG fills transparent areas with the background color. PNG and WebP preserve transparency. Choose the format required by the submission destination.
Frequently asked questions
Will the result always be exactly 50KB?
The tool aims for the specified limit or below. The result will not be exactly that size, and image quality or dimensions may change to fit the limit.
What if text becomes hard to read?
Review the save format and submission requirements as well as file size. If a small limit and readable detail cannot both be achieved, check whether the recipient can accept a higher limit.
What if the image does not fit the target file size?
Increase the file size limit or change the save format and try again. Files that do not meet the limit are never saved as successful results.
