JPG to PNG

Convert JPG and JPEG photos to PNG for compatible editing software or production submission destinations. Add multiple images from files or folders, specify dimensions if needed, check the result and file size, then save files individually or as a ZIP. Original dimensions are used by default. Conversion alone does not change the photo's background or restore lost image quality.

What you can do

Meet PNG production submission requirements

Convert JPG images to PNG. Original dimensions are kept by default, and you can change the size only when needed.

Check the result & file size

Check the converted image alongside its file size. PNG photos may have larger file sizes, so also check the submission limit.

How to use

  1. Add images

Select JPG files or add them from a folder.

  2. Check output settings

PNG is already selected. Open advanced settings only if needed to change dimensions.

  3. Convert & save

Check the resulting images, dimensions and file sizes, then save them. You can also get multiple results as a ZIP.

When this is useful

Prepare assets that require PNG

Send photos available only as JPG to editing environments that accept PNG.

Create a copy for editing

Keep the original JPG and start editing a separate PNG file.

What conversion changes & what it keeps

Conversion to PNG does not remove the background

The background in the original JPG is part of the image. Changing the format alone does not make it transparent.

Lost image quality is not restored

Converting to PNG does not restore details lost through JPG compression.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make the background transparent?

Format conversion alone cannot do this. Removing the image's background requires a separate step.

Why does the photo file get larger?

PNG uses a different storage method from JPG, which may increase file size for photos.

Will the original photo be overwritten?

No. Save the converted PNG as a separate file.
