What you can do

Save GIF animation as a video

Convert 1 animation cycle to MP4. Save the duration of the original cycle rather than its repeat count.

Choose a background color for transparent areas

Since MP4 cannot preserve transparent areas, specify a background color. The default is white.

How to use

  1. Choose a GIF

Choose 1 GIF file you want to convert.

  2. Check the background color

Choose the color to apply to transparent areas. If no change is needed, create it with the default white.

  3. Check and save the video

Check 1 cycle of motion and the background, then save as MP4.

Useful when

Include it in materials as a video

Import it as an MP4 video into software for creating materials that cannot handle GIFs directly.

Deliver material as a video file

Send a 1-cycle MP4 to someone who wants animated material in video format.

What to check before saving

GIF repeat settings are not carried over

Even if a GIF repeats many times, the saved MP4 contains 1 cycle. Treat this separately from repeat settings in the playback destination.

No audio is added

GIFs do not contain audio. The converted MP4 is also silent; if you need background music, edit it separately.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a video that repeats for longer?
