Resize a Kindle eBook cover image
Resize one still image containing the book title and author name to 1600 × 2560px for a Kindle eBook cover. The default settings keep the whole image. Check the appearance of the text and the margins, then save as a JPEG at 72dpi and under 50MB.
What you can do
Keep the whole portrait cover
The default method keeps the whole image. It fits the image into a 1600 × 2560 px frame and fills uncovered areas with the background color.
Create a JPEG for submission to KDP
Save as a JPEG under 50 MB. You can zoom in to check small text included in the cover.
