Resize a STORES product image
Select one STORES product photo and fit it to the store's image aspect ratio: square 920 × 920px, portrait 920 × 1104px, or landscape 924 × 660px. The default settings fit the whole product with margins, and you can also switch to cropping. Check the appearance and background color, then save as JPEG or PNG at 10MB or less and register it through Edit Item.

Fit the whole product without cropping
The default settings do not crop the product and fill uncovered areas with the background color. You can also switch to cropping.

Select one still image.
Match the store's image aspect ratio
Choose square, portrait, or landscape, and check that the product is not cut off.
Save and add to the item
Save the image at 10 MB or less and register it through Edit Item in STORES.

Match the aspect ratio used by your store
You also choose the product image aspect ratio in STORES store design settings. Select this page's aspect ratio to match the settings where the image will be published.
Backgrounds are not automatically removed
This use case fits or crops the whole original photo. It does not separate the product from the background.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change images in bulk?
This use case creates one image at a time. Changing the image clears the current result.
Can I create animated product images?
STORES supports animated GIFs, but this use case only adjusts still images.
Can I preserve transparent areas?
Choose PNG and enable preservation of transparent areas. Only areas that were already transparent are preserved.
