Resize an X (Twitter) profile image
Resize 1 still image, such as a portrait or logo, to 400 × 400px for an X (Twitter) profile. Check the circular display area, adjust the position, and save a JPEG or PNG of 2MB or less. The circular guide is not included in the saved image; the output is square.
What you can do
Check what will be cropped in the circular display
Use the overlaid circular guide to adjust the position so your face or logo is not cut off.
Save a 400 px square
The output is a 400 × 400 px square. It is saved as a JPEG or PNG of 2 MB or less.

The difference between circular display and the saved image
The saved file is square
The circle is a guide for checking how the image will look on X. It does not make the corners of the saved image transparent.
400 px is the recommended size
This page adjusts the image to X's recommended dimensions. Be careful with small source images that become blurry when enlarged.
Frequently asked questions
Is the saved image circular?
